The Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education (CARES) was established in 2013 as the University of Cambridge’s first research centre outside the UK. The main C4T programme investigates ways to decarbonise major industries in Singapore and around the world, focusing on ways to improve energy efficiency and strategies for carbon capture.
The research at CARES is funded by the Singapore government through its Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE) programme and brings together world-leading scientists and engineers at the University of Cambridge, Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore.
